Roofing leads from people asking for a roofer right now

Hodorak finds roofing leads in public posts: homeowners asking who can fix a leak, quote storm damage or give a second opinion on a new roof. In one 72-hour window we counted 155 of these requests on Facebook and Reddit. They are people asking now, not a list of contacts you buy.

The requests we counted

One fixed window and the same rules on every platform: each card shows the requests that fit this business, out of every post we read.

Facebook

119 requests

12 Facebook keyword searches and 2 public groups where local homeowners and contractors post jobs. 118 of the 119 requests came from the searches, on personal profiles and in local community groups; most search results were roofers' own ads, which were left out. Search shows the newest posts first, so the last day of the window is covered best.

Reddit

4 subreddits (r/Roofing, r/HomeImprovement, r/homeowners, r/Insurance) and 5 Reddit searches for recommendation and quote phrases. 19 of the 36 requests were in r/Roofing, mostly people comparing quotes; the searches found direct requests in city subreddits. r/Insurance had none.

A small sample: 5 X keyword searches, up to 3 pages each, with only 5 posts inside the window. None was a request: roofer ads and unrelated posts.

How we counted: Window: 30 Sep 2026, 01:00 – 3 Oct 2026, 01:00 (UTC). We read 1,459 posts written in the window: 12 Facebook searches and 2 public Facebook groups, 4 subreddits and 5 Reddit searches, and 5 X searches. We read every post in the window and judged it against one written definition: someone who needs a roofer or roof work for a home or building they own, rent, manage or help with, and asks for a roofer, a repair, an inspection or a quote. A contractor looking for a roofing company for a job counts too. Left out: roofers' own ads, showcases, reviews and tips, job and hiring posts, talk between roofing professionals, DIY questions with no plan to hire, gutter-only jobs, and problems with a roofer already hired. A person who posted the same request twice counts once in the number of people.

Our house still is not fixed after the tornado. Several contractors came out and then never sent an estimate, or stopped answering. The insurer wants written estimates before the claim can go ahead: the roof, the chimney flashing, siding, gutters and anything else the storm hit. Who is licensed, insured and actually follows through? We want it done before winter.

Why it fits

An insurance claim is waiting on a written roof estimate that earlier contractors never delivered, so the roofer who shows up and quotes can win the job.

Keyword searchQuestion before buying

We are under contract on a house and want a roofer to come and give a second opinion. The inspection report says a minor repair is enough, but a different roofer quoted a full replacement. Who would you recommend? Best if they can look at it today or tomorrow.

Why it fits

A buyer has to choose between repair and replacement before closing, so a quick and honest roof inspection is the job.

Keyword searchWants an alternative

I have been trying to find a roofer for weeks. The ones I contacted near me either never called back or never sent a quote. It has to be someone who knows metal roofs. Any suggestions?

Why it fits

Other roofers let this request go cold; a roofer who works on metal roofs and answers quickly has a clear opening.

Keyword searchLooking now

General contractor and home builder here: I am looking for a solid roofing company to take on one of my jobs in the area. If the work is good, more of my jobs could follow.

Why it fits

A business-to-business request: a builder who needs a roofing partner now, with more projects possible.

A small leak started in my daughter's room. From the attic I can see where the water gets in, so it may only need a patch, but I am not sure. Who would you recommend to look at the roof?

Why it fits

An active leak inside the home and a simple ask for someone to come and look, which is where a repair job starts.

Keyword searchLooking now

Since the last heavy rain our roof leaks around a vent. Every company I have called says six to eight weeks, and some offered to move us up the list for an extra fee. Is a tarp good enough until then, or will waiting cause real damage?

Why it fits

A leak that needs work now while local roofers are booked for weeks: a roofer with an opening can take this job.

SubredditQuestion before buying

Four inspections all said our roof has to be replaced; shingles keep falling off and it has been patched before. The lowest quote, about seven thousand under the others, is from a licensed family business that opened less than a year ago and has no Yelp reviews. Is it risky to hire them?

Why it fits

The roof needs replacing and the owner is still choosing between roofers, so a clear quote from a roofer they can trust can decide it.

Keyword searchAsks another business

Our attic has a small, slow leak that only shows up when it rains, and in heavy rain it adds up. Can anyone recommend a reliable roofer they trust, rather than one of the big companies?

Why it fits

A small repair from a homeowner who would rather hire an independent roofer than a large firm.

Keyword searchProblem

We bought our house a month ago and water is coming in at the back entry, under a part of the roof with no flashing. A roofing company found flashing missing in several places, shingles near the end of their life and decking that needs replacing. That whole section of roof has to be redone, and behind the wall we found water damage and mold.

Why it fits

A new owner with a roof section that must be replaced; the damage already defines the job.

How it works, step by step

From your first sources to your first reply.

  1. 1

    Add the places homeowners ask

Add Facebook searches such as "roofing recommendations" and "anyone know a good roofer", r/Roofing, and a Reddit search for "need a roofer" as your sources.

  2. 2

    Read the requests that fit

Hodorak shows posts like "a small leak started in my daughter's room, who can look at the roof?" with the lead type, the lead level, why it fits your roofing business and a link to the original post.

  3. 3

    Reply from your own account

Open the original post and answer with something useful: what to check before the next rain, what a fair estimate should list, and when you could come out to look.

Is Hodorak a list of roofing leads I buy?

No. Hodorak does not sell contacts or shared leads. It shows you public posts from people asking now for a roofer, a repair or a quote, with a link to the original post, so you answer in the same conversation.

How do I get roofing leads from Facebook and Reddit?

Add the searches and places where homeowners ask. In our window, most Facebook requests came from searches such as "roofing recommendations", "recommend a roofer" and "anyone know a good roofer", and most Reddit requests were in r/Roofing or found by searching "need a roofer". Hodorak then shows you the posts that fit.

Can I find roofing leads near me?

Add the local community groups and the city subreddits of the area you serve, along with the search phrases. Many requests in our window named their town or neighborhood, so you can see at a glance whether a post is in your area before you open it.

Are these free roofing leads?

The posts are public, so you could search for them by hand. Hodorak does the searching for you: it reads your sources regularly and shows only the posts that fit your business, with the reason. It is a paid plan, and Pro starts with a 7-day trial.

What kinds of roofing requests will I see?

In our window: people asking who to call, which was most common on Facebook; leaks after heavy rain; storm and hail damage with insurance estimates; quote checks and second opinions before a replacement, most common on Reddit; and small repairs such as slipped slates, ridge tiles, chimney flashing and metal roof panels.

How many roofing leads will I get?

It depends on the sources you add, the area you serve and the weather. Our 72-hour window found 155 requests from 149 people, 119 of them on Facebook. That is one measured window, not a forecast.

Does it find roofing company leads for commercial jobs?

When the request is public, yes. In our window we also counted a general contractor looking for a roofing company for their projects, someone who needed a licensed roofer for a commercial building, and a request to coat a flat commercial roof.

How much does it cost?

There are two plans, Pro and Max, paid monthly or yearly. The price summary is on this page, and every limit is on the Pricing page.
